Payments & Fees
How do I pay for my course?
You can pay in full, pay monthly or pay one unit at a time. Your first payment will include the CMI Registration Fee when paying monthly or one unit at a time. If you don’t pay in full, you still agree to pay the full course fee even if you later withdraw.
Are there any extra fees I should know about?
Yes. Additional charges may apply for deadline extensions, re-mark requests, internal verification, course re-enrolment, or parking your course. These are listed in our Terms & Conditions and in the Student Area.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Your access to tutor support may be paused. Continued issues may lead to your account being referred to a debt recovery agency. You won’t be able to re-enrol until all debts are cleared.
Course Management
Can I cancel my course and get a refund?
Yes – you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date we receive your payment. Please refer to our Refunds Policy for full details.
Can I take a break from my course?
Yes. You may request to ‘park’ your course for up to 6 months. A parking fee applies. Contact your tutor or support team for assistance.
What happens if I lapse?
Lapsing occurs if you miss deadlines, haven’t started a new unit within 3 months of completing the previous one, or haven’t contacted your tutor for 3 months. A re-enrolment fee applies. Rejoining is subject to CMI timelines and team approval.
Can I transfer my course to someone else?
No, transfers to another person are not allowed. Switching courses may be possible on a case-by-case basis and may include extra fees.
Assignments & Assessments
What happens if I miss an assignment deadline?
Contact your tutor immediately. Missing a deadline could cause your enrolment to lapse. You can request deadline extensions (up to 8 weeks total) for a weekly fee.
What if my assignment is referred?
You’ll receive a one-week extension to resubmit. If it still doesn’t pass, you may need to retake the unit. A re-mark by an independent tutor is available (fees apply).
How long does it take to receive results and certification?
Your tutor marks your assignment, which is then moderated and verified internally and by CMI. This process can take up to 14 weeks.
Support, Conduct & Policies
How do I make a complaint or appeal?
Start by contacting your tutor. If needed, follow our formal Complaints or Appeals Procedure. We aim to resolve all concerns fairly and quickly.
What behaviour is expected while studying?
Respectful, professional conduct is required at all times. Misconduct such as discrimination, harassment, or defamation may result in course removal and referral to CMI.
What counts as plagiarism?
Submitting work that isn’t your own, including unreferenced AI-generated content. Plagiarism may result in removal from the course without refund.
How is my personal data used?
Your data is used to manage your course, register you with CMI, and communicate with you. We never sell your data and only share it with essential providers. See our Privacy Notice for full details.
