This CMI Level 5 qualification is designed for individuals wishing to develop their professional consultancy abilities, and who will have the knowledge, skills and behaviours to drive consultancy activities in a consulting capacity.

Who should take this course
These CMI Level 5 Management Consulting Practice qualifications have been designed for Professional Consultants and practising or aspiring Management Consultants wishing to formalise or develop their learning and progress on to Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC).
Course duration
This course provides foundational knowledge and skills consisting of one unit and typically takes between two and four months to complete. You can complete this unit faster or slower depending on your availability to study and learning style.
Progression opportunities
Upon successful completion of their qualification, Learners are able to progress to further learning within the suite of Level 5 Qualifications in Management Consulting – for example, completing an Award and topping-up to Certificate or Diploma.
Learners may also wish to further their ongoing personal and professional development by accessing other CMI qualifications, such as the CMI Level 5 qualifications in Management and Leadership. Learners completing this qualification may also wish to progress onto the Chartered Management Consultant (ChMC) Award.

Course content
Learners must complete the mandatory unit 547 to a total of 70 TUT in order to achieve this qualification. The minimum GLH is 16 hours, with 7 credits.

The complexity, size and scale of management consulting assignments typically requires contributions from individuals and teams if these are to be completed successfully. The aim of the unit is for Learners to understand their own role in the delivery of a management consulting assignment as stipulated in the delivery plan. On successful completion of the unit, Learners will report on how they contributed to the delivery of a management consulting assignment, the lessons they learned from this experience, and the benefits they delivered to the client and the consulting organisation.

The qualification is the same, the durations and depth of knowledge depends on the amount of units you are committed to complete, ie Award – 1 unit, Certificate – 2 units, and Diploma 6 units.
